I was in search mode listing my products and wanted to delete all items in my current page (similar to EDIT ALL). All the items from the full list got deleted. There was no question if it is OK, there was no warning that all items in the list are going to be deleted.
This is too dangerous and should be more controlled. |

Zeev, there is a warning message when you try to delete all shown products. It asks you to confirm before you proceed. Here it is:
| Quote: |
Warning! If the purpose of this delete is just to reimport the same products then You must know that the imported products will have new Ids hence the generated web pages will have new names. Also the old orders will not have the information about the deleted products anymore.
Do you really want to Delete ALL Products |

Stan, I did not get any message like this. From the message it sounds that it related to import of items.
I was in search mode listing items, there were two clicks available one next to the other EDIT ALL and DEL ALL. When I click on EDIT ALL I edit all items on the current page. When I click on DEL ALL all items in the list (not just on the page) get deleted with no warning messages. |

Yes, I switched to Search mode and clicked on "DEL ALL" and I got that message and it asked me to confirm in order to continue. I clicked Cancel of course.
What did you search for? Let me try exactly the same as you have done. What browser are you using? _________________ Stanley Stanev

I tried it again and I saw the message you refer to.
I do not recall seeing this message before. |

Right, I tried several times both with IE and FF and it prompted me every time. We always have confirmation messages when the user is trying to perform delete actions. _________________ Stanley Stanev

I am not able to recreate it, I guess it was there I just did not pay attention to it.
Would be nice to disable the DEL ALL function for people like me that miss messages. If there would be a per user option to disable it, I would use it. It is too dangerous and behaves very differentl than the EDIT ALL. I think I have done the same mistake a couple of years ago. |
