Hi,

It appears that the alt code in the following code doesn't spit out an alt tag in the code. Any thoughts on how to add an alt tag?

STATIC_INCLUDE(AUTO_GENERATED_POWERSEARCH_FORM, btnImageSrc=http://mysite.com/images_templ/search-btn-header.jpg, btnImageAlt=Search, enterSearchTermMsg=Enter Keyword or Item Number)

Thanks,
Matt

I am not sure the btnImageAlt attribute is supported for this keyword. Where did you see an example using btnImageAlt?

It looks like most of the big guys are using css for their buttons, but I found an alt tag inside an iput tag at http://www.quill.com/

If you inspect the search element in chrome, you can find it.

By the way, the reason I brought it up is because Bing recognized it as an issue on our site when I used its SEO analyzer tool.

Right, the keyword doesn't support that btnImageAlt attribute. I know that tools are complaining when they see an image without "alt" attribute, but I am not sure this is a big deal for images that don't directly contribute to the main content of the web page.
