Prevent image and data scraping

With the increase of counterfeiting of products, especially products that are image-based as ours are (flags), we are looking for suggestions on how to keep thieves off of our site or at least unable to copy our images.

We know we can block IP addresses with DENY statements in .htaccess file but are reluctant to do that so we don't block legitimate users. So, we recognize they will get to our site and be able to do 'research' just by looking around but is there something we can do to avoid page scraping and, especially, image copying? Block the right-click or Save Image As options? Heavily watermark all images? Any input?[/quote]

All images are available for the public. For those that know how to get them, there is no way to stop them download them.

You can apply some java script to disable right-click, but again, you can't stop them from downloading them.

An idea is to apply whatever mark on them to at least make them useless if somebody downloads them.
