|
|
We've recently changed our template theme and all appears to be working fine except for the search results page, that is, the page that appears after one submits a search query. This page is not formatting properly. I cannot recall if there are settings or templates that control this page, or if it might be a small bug. Your help is appreciated.
Thanks,

Stan, No the issue is not resolved. Simply visit our website, www.PamperedPassions.com and conduct a search for, say, item 9001. The search results page does not appear to be formatting properly. Thanks for taking a look. _________________ John |

John,
I am trying the search, but nothing happens.
Looks like the designer has forgotten to indicate in the HTML that when you click on the search image then it should submit the search form? _________________ Stanley Stanev

Looks like you need to go back to your designer if you don't feel comfortable changing the template yourself.
By looking briefly, I am finding that the search button/icon has the following type
<input type="button" name="" value="" ...
and I am feeling it should be
<input type="submit" name="" value="" ...
Please, you need to request this from your designer/developer that is being paid to do your main templates. In general, here is how I usually work with my developers:
- I don't accept their work until every button, link, or action has been tested and working properly

Stan, I've made the change (home page only for now). Would you please see if you can search for an item (9001) from the home page and take a look at the resulting search page. It is not formatted as desired. Thank you. _________________ John |

We found some specific CSS import statements in your template. We changed our generation to deal with them on the search page.
I updated your SF and generated the entire store at 9pm CDT. Can you please try now? _________________ Stanley Stanev
