Accessing the tracking number variable on order status page

We are trying to add the UPS API to our order tracking page to display tracking info w/o having to go to ups.com

We need to be able to access the tracking number variable in order to pass it to the API and get a valid response.

Can you tell me the default variable name stored in searchfit containing the number.

actually, before we can even try to test anything, we are having problems finding the correct template.

Can you let me know where the template for order status is located/stored?

based on the URL it looks like it's controlled by the cart, but not seeing anything there.

I think you are talking about "Check order status" page. We don't use templates there. That's why i asked for more details.

thanks for the quick response. So how would we go about modifying that page if there is no set template for it. Where does the content get generated?

It is system generated content.
Unfortunately you can't modify it, you can only style it.
