Gabe and SF:
A couple of things concerning mobile:
1. When a customer clicks on a category... how do have the category view of products default to
a. List View and,
b. the products are arranged to our "sort" values identical to desktop?
2. What is the code for a slider of our "Upsell Products" assigned to each product?
Let us know. Thanks.

Hello,
Thank you for asking about these features. Unfortunately, these three features are not available at this time.
However, I have suggested them to our programming team to consider adding these abilities.
Thank you, |

Gabe:
Let us know what you need from us to get this functionality in our mobile cart. Mobile is growing to over 20% of our business now and we need additional features, especially, in the ability to offer our upsell products on all pages including scart checkout pages. We continue to struggle with average order size on mobile orders...(if there is a work around currently available, please let us know)
The ability to show the sort order on mobile would be consistent with desktop which we believe is important. Also, we'd like to have the ability to control the category view.
Thanks. Let us know.

SF:
Any word on the ability to show the sort order on mobile via default? It would be ideal to be consistent with desktop as going from desktop to mobile is confusing as the products are not ordered the same.
Please advise. Thanks.

You want to be able to specify what is the default sort order for browsing categories on mobile? _________________ www.searchfit.com

On mobile, when a customer selects a category, we'd like the products to be viewed in the same sort order as on the desktop version. We'd like this to be our default view on mobile when a customer selects a category.
It would make the desktop and mobile views consistent. Currently, it is very confusing when a customer goes from desktop to mobile (or vice versa) since the products are not in the same order when selecting a category. Please view this category on desktop and on mobile and notice the significant differences in layout.

Please advise what we have to do to make this happen?

I will look into this and see what is required to change the default mobile sort order on categories. _________________ www.searchfit.com

To clarify, on mobile, we need the ability to view the products on category pages via the "Sort" order that we have assigned in the desktop version. With that said, we'd like this category view of our products to be our default when a customer selects a category on mobile.
In other words, when a customer selects a category the products would be laid out in the same order on mobile as on desktop.
Please advise if we need to talk to a rep to make this happen.
Thanks.

Right, on desktop, there is no way to change the sort order, so yes, what you are asking is to align that sort order with the mobile sort order by default. I hope I understand correctly.
As you are playing with mobile, which mobile sort order from the dropdown matches the one that is for you on desktop? _________________ www.searchfit.com

Expect the following change when we upgrade your SF to 8.43:
- CHANGE: SF.Mobile products sort order on category pages now matches the desktop sort order by default. _________________ www.searchfit.com

SF:
Concerning product layout order on category pages....there is no "mobile sort order" view on mobile that matches the desktop view. |

We are changing that the category pages on mobile will match the sort order of desktop by default. Then if the user wants to change the sort order, he can change to whatever is available in the dropdown.
Or in short, if there is no explicit sort order selected, mobile matches desktop. _________________ www.searchfit.com

That is great, thank you.
Will you also for Product separators? |

The above change is coming in a few days to your SF. We have no specific plans at this time for separators on mobile. _________________ www.searchfit.com

Why is that? These two changes go hand in hand and the change is probably trivial. |

No, to support separators is not an easy change in mobile, because things there are designed without the "separator" concept at all and if we just enable them, they will be treated as real products and we don't want that. _________________ www.searchfit.com

Why can't you leave the current system as is and the new display by sequence number coming any day to also display separators? |

No matter how things are sorted, in general, adding separators to the mix introduces complications. So we have to see. _________________ www.searchfit.com
